Seamless Light Output
o COB technology provides a continuous, uniform light without the "dotting" effect of tradition RGBW strips, resulting in smoother more professional lighting.
Energy Efficiency
o Better heat dissipation and closer arrangement of LED chips lead to higher efficiency, reducing energy consumption and operational costs.
Longer Lifespan
o Even heat dissipation minimizes wear and tear, increasing the lifespan of the strip lights and reducing the need for frequent replacements.
Hybrid RGBIC-CCT
o Combines individually addressable RGB with tunable white for unmatched lighting flexibility.
Dynamic Addressability
o Each segment is controllable for complex dynamic effects.
Certified Quality
o Meets all aviation Industry standards and regulations. Designed for DO-160.
Enhanced Versatility
o Ideal for applications where aesthetic consistency and high color accuracy are critical.
High CRI 90+ RGBCCT system delivers a full-spectrum white light range (3000K–6500K), dynamically tuned to mimic natural daylight. This promotes circadian rhythm alignment, enhancing comfort, reducing fatigue, and improving overall well-being during long-haul flights.
Analog Strip Lights:
Analog lighting systems are traditionally selected for applications requiring high-quality white light - typically high-CRI general illumination - where dynamic lighting effects are not a priority. Analog strips are PWM driven, independently modulating each channel (Red, Green, Blue, White). In analog systems, the entire strip changes color uniformly.
Digital Strip Lights:
By contrast, Digital lighting systems - which utilize addressable LEDs - have historically been used for accent lighting or effects driven applications where high quality general white light was not critical. Most digital RGBW strips are optimized for a single, predefined white point (e.g. 3000K). While they can approximate other white points by mixing RGB channels, this typically results in inconsistent color rendering and lower CRI, especially outside the target white point, ultimately affecting the accurate perception of interior materials and finishes.
Best of Both Worlds:
Spectrum's solution combines the color tuning capabilities of analog CCT strips with the addressability of digital systems. The result is a high-density, dotless COB profile digital strip featuring Red, Green, Blue, and CCT channels. This will allow the system to deliver accurate, high-CRI white light across the full 3000K - 6500K range, while maintaining the advantages of addressability for complex dynamic effects.
This hybrid approach offers the best of both analog and digital systems in a single platform, supporting both premium general lighting and advanced control capabilities.
